It is with great pleasure and honour that I welcome you to the 15th IFATSEA Africa Region Meeting, hosted here in the heart of Kampala by the Uganda Air Traffic Safety Electronics Association (UGATSEA), from 17th to 20th June 2025.
Held under the theme: “Digital Transformation in CNS/ATM: Strengthening ATSEP Competencies for a Safer and Sustainable Future,” this meeting comes at a time of unprecedented change in our industry.
The pace of technological advancement; particularly in artificial intelligence, automation, and digital systems; is reshaping the aviation landscape at an extraordinary rate. These rapid changes demand that we, as Air Traffic Safety Electronics Personnel (ATSEPs), not only keep pace but lead with innovation, adaptability, and a renewed commitment to excellence. This gathering provides a timely and valuable opportunity to engage with these pressing realities.
