Agaba Gerald – Principal Air Navigation Services Inspector – Communication Navigation and Surveillance (CNS)- Uganda Civil Aviation Authority

Gerald Agaba is a safety Inspector with the Uganda Civil Aviation Authority with an experience of over 17 years in the aviation Industry.

Agaba started his aviation career in 2007 as a technical officer / CNS Officer in the directorate of Air navigation services (DANS) the Air navigation service provider responsible for provision of air navigation services in Uganda. In 2012 he was assigned responsibilities as a safety inspector in Regulatory entity in Uganda where he has attained experience in regulatory roles as a senior CNS Inspector to a Principal ANS Inspector responsible for Information and Infrastructure Management to now a Principal Inspector responsible for Communication navigation and Surveillance.

Agaba Holds bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Makerere University, a Postgraduate Degree in Project Planning and Management from Uganda Management Institute and a Master’s degree in Aeronautics with a bias in Unmanned Aerospace Systems from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University.

He has been instrumental in several national and regional initiatives including but not limited to being an ANS expert within AFCAC Technical Working Group, a member of the APIRG IIM subgroup and a project team leader in an APIRG IIM project on Aeronautical Frequency management project and was part of the development team of the ANS ITS as a representative of CASSOA to BAGASSO.
