Dr. Sallami Chougdali is a distinguished Computer Science expert and Air Traffic Safety Electronics Engineer with over two decades of experience in Morocco’s aviation sector. As a CNS/ATM Systems Specialist, he combines academic excellence with practical industry leadership to advance aviation technology and safety standards.

Currently serving as Head of the Laboratories Management Unit at the Moroccan Airports Authority (Mohammed VI International Academy of Civil Aviation) since 2016, Dr. Chougdali oversees critical technical operations while simultaneously holding a position as Research Professor. His dual role bridges the gap between theoretical research and practical aviation applications.

With an extensive engineering background dating back to 2004 as an Air Traffic Safety Electronics Engineer at the Moroccan Airports Authority, Dr. Chougdali has developed deep expertise in aviation systems management. His leadership extends to the professional community as President of the Moroccan ATSEP Association since 2022, where he shapes industry standards and best practices.

Academically, Dr. Chougdali holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science (2018) and a Master’s degree in Computer Science (2013), complementing his foundational qualification as an Air Traffic Safety Electronics Engineer (2004). This unique combination of computer science expertise and aviation electronics specialization positions him as a multidisciplinary authority in modern CNS/ATM systems development and implementation.

Based in Casablanca, Morocco, Dr. Chougdali continues to contribute to the advancement of civil aviation through technical leadership, academic research, and professional advocacy, ensuring Morocco remains at the forefront of aviation technology and safety innovation.
