Katongole Joseph is a seasoned aviation systems engineer and cybersecurity expert with over 14 years of experience at the Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (UCAA). He specializes in CNS/ATM systems, aviation cybersecurity, and network infrastructure, with a strong track record in aligning systems with ICAO standards.
As a Senior Technical Officer, Joseph has led key initiatives including cybersecurity hardening for CNS/ATM systems, AMHS network integration, and AIM automation projects. He also developed UCAA’s Cyber Security Policy and has trained over 50 staff in cyber hygiene.
Joseph holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Telecommunication Engineering from Kyambogo University and a Master of Science in Data Communication & Software Engineering from Makerere University. He is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and has received specialized training in ICAO ATSEP and Aviation Cybersecurity from IATA, ATNS, and the Korea Aviation School.
